Cookies and analytics

We use "cookies" as part of a normal business procedure to track patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. A cookie is an element of data that our Website sends to your browser which is then stored on your system. You can set your browser to prevent this happening. Any information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you change your browser settings.

We use Google Analytics to gather statistics about how our site is used.

Documents uploaded for conversion

Documents that you upload for conversion can be stored on our servers and later inspected by our staff for the sole purpose of improving the quality of our product (typically in case of a failed conversion). For the same purpose they can also be transmitted privately to the OpenOffice.org Quality Assurance staff. Your documents will not be used for other purposes, nor sold to other parties.

However, since documents are transmitted via HTTP (rather than HTTPS) we recommend that you do not upload documents containing sensitive data. This is a general recommendation that applies to any data transmitted over a HTTP connection.
